New Delhi: The BJP crisis in Uttarakhand is not taking its name to stop. After changing CM three months ago, now the leadership crisis has come before the party.

Rawat met with Nadda two times

According to sources, Uttarakhand Prime Minister Tirath Singh Rawat delivered a letter to BJP Chairman JP Nadda. In this letter he has said that he wants to resign from the CM position.

He said a constitutional crisis has emerged in the state. Then his resignation must be accepted.

Let us report that the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Tirath Singh Rawat, has been camping in Delhi for three days. CM Rawat met with party chairman JP Nadda on Friday for the second time in the last 24 hours.

With this round of meetings, speculation of another leadership change in the state has begun.

Will there be by-elections in Uttarakhand?

According to sources, these speculations occur because there is less than a year left for the Uttarakhand assembly elections.

At the same time, it is a constitutional obligation for Rawat to be elected a member of the Legislative Assembly before September 10 to continue in his position.

Tirath Singh Rawat, MP from Lok Sabha de Pauri, took over as Chief Minister from Trivendra Singh Rawat on March 10 this year.

After meeting with Nadda, Rawat said that he discussed preparations for the next assembly elections with the party chairman.

On the question of when the by-elections will be held in the state, Rawat said that only the Electoral Commission can make a decision on the matter.

He said that whatever strategy the central party leadership decides in this regard, it will continue to be worked out.

Let us report that currently, two assembly seats, Gangotri and Haldwani, are vacant in the state. Where the by-election will be held. Since it is proposed that the assembly elections be held in the state in February-March of next year.

Now he has less than a year left. In such a situation, legal experts believe that the decision to hold the by-elections depends on the discretion of the Electoral Commission.

Both MLA seats are vacant

It is speculated in Uttarakhand that Rawat may contest the by-election from the Gangotri headquarters in the Garhwal region. The seat was vacated following the death of BJP MLA Gopal Singh Rawat.

At the same time, Haldwani's seat was left vacant due to the death of Congress leader Indira Hridayesh. The Electoral Commission has not yet announced the by-elections for these two seats.

Vikasnagar's BJP MLA and former state party spokesman Munna Singh Chouhan said: “It is entirely within the purview of the Election Commission to decide whether to hold by-elections in the state or not. It all depends on the Electoral Commission.

The political crisis can come out like this

Political observers believe that the state (Uttarakhand) is headed for a constitutional crisis. In the absence of by-elections, the constitutional crisis can only be resolved.
